Issue #32 mailed on Monday. I can't believe it's been so long since an issue of Modern Ferret went out in the mail. It goes by bulk mail, so it can take a couple of weeks to reach everyone. Please be patient. (I know, how many times am I going to ask for patience before someone raps me one right in the kisser?).

Eric's drainage tube is out! Hooray! He is much more pleasant to be around now that he doesn't have a tube sticking out of him. Tomorrow he's getting a haircut. Small steps, but they can really help in rehabilitation.

Tonight we went to the close-out store and bought some junk. Then I got myself a Thighmaster Gold. I don't know what makes it "gold." The price, I suppose (though it was actually kind of cheap). Hopefully I'll be able to work off some of the extra weight my medication has caused me to put on. It's not a lot, but on a little person like me ...

It looks like Balthazar is going to need to see Dr. Ned. He's been having this bout of "inflammatory bowel" (I call it that for lack of a better diagnosis) for almost two weeks now. He's doing OK with the prednisone I'm giving him -- and the several meals of chicken baby food each day. But he still doesn't seem to be coming out of this bout the way I think he ought to. Don't be alarmed -- he's doing very well, but that's only because of the medication and the feedings. I want him to get back to normal.

Well, I made it through my birthday. It wasn't something I was looking forward to. But Eric says I'm 27 in hex (go ask a geek what that means), so that's not so bad.

Eric should finally be getting his drain out on Thursday!

We just got first copies of Issue #32 today! I just finished updating the database, so the mailing will go out soon. I can't believe it's been so long since an issue of Modern Ferret came out. For almost a year now, I've been in a bit of a fog. I hope things will get better from here.

My hair is ... RED! It seemed about time to get a little color in there (I was blond for a very long time). You'll have to wait until Issue #33 to see the color.
