New Blog Name
I've decided to move this ferret blog thing over to blogspot. It's just easier. I will get all the archives up over the next few weeks.

Swine Flu and Your Ferret
BBC Story -- Ferrets Used in Flu Research
Please check www.FerretNews.com later today or tomorrow for a new newsletter which will include tips on protecting yourself and your ferrets from the Swine Flu virus. I'm working on a newsletter now, but I'm not sure when I'll be finished with it.
Basically, wash your hands a lot and avoid sick people.
Also, please note that I've introduced some new lower prices at The Ferret Trading Post.
Stay safe and stay well.

FerretNews Website!
I've just put up a new (yes, new) FerretNews newsletter. Go check it out at this link:
http://www.ferretnews.com/issues/ferret-news-111.html
Also, I've put up some stuff on Ebay, if you're looking for some fun ferret-related holiday gifts. Yes, it's still a little early for holiday shopping, but, really, is it ever too early?

And Now For Something Completely Different ...
This has nothing to do with ferrets. But it is a worthy cause:
Reposted from MySpace with permission and enthusiasm!
Hi friends and Ian Hunter fans! Here's hoping that you will take a minute to sign a petition that myself and good friend, fellow Ian Hunter/Mott fan Constance (from US) have set up.
The aim/hope is to gather enough signatures and reasons why Ian Hunter should be considered for the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame! If you agree with us then sign away! Long live Ian Hunter!!
In advance: Thank you for taking the time out to sign it and feel free to spread the word and pass it on.

I started work on a new book yesterday. It's in the early planning stages, but I hope to have it ready for the summer or fall. It's not a care book, it's a fun book. I think ferrets need more fun books. I'm going to ask my cousin Rosemary to illustrate it for me. I don't know if she's ever drawn a ferret, but she's a very talented artist, so I'm sure it's something she can do.
In the meantime, I keep thinking about how much I miss my little furry friends. Right now I have Milo the cat to keep me company, but I have to keep a respectable distance because I am a little allergic to cats. Milo isn't my cat; he's my cousin Amanda's cat. But he's one of the friendliest kitties I've ever met.
I have quite a few projects in the pipeline now, most are not ferret related. But I feel the pull. I always feel the pull.

Ferrets and the Holidays
A quick reminder that the holidays can be a dangerous time for ferrets. Check out this article on the Ferret News website for ways to keep your ferret safe:

Best wishes for a safe and happy holiday!

Check Out Ebay!
Oh, boy! I found a couple of neat things yesterday and I'm putting them all up on Ebay. So go check out my Ebay auctions. There's one of those cute little bean-bag stuffed ferrets we used to sell (I found two of them!) and one Ikea ferret (that'll be going up for auction later today). These make great ferret gifts for the holidays. So take a look at my Ebay auctions:

I've also still got Super Monster Packs (28 back issue of Modern Ferret) for sale for $52 (includes Priority Mail shipping) on ferrettradingpost.com, but you can look on Ebay and get one for less!
Happy bidding!
